A Monumental Success: Hortus 2024

Art and literature have an uncanny ability to bind people, stir emotions, and leave long-lasting impressions. It is that magic which came alive in the form of Hortus 2024, the art and literature festival of Malayala Manorama in the vibrant city of Kozhikode on November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

As the appointed social media agency for Hortus, The Poetic Ads brought about a total transformation in this festival to make it a resounding success. As a journey of amplification of awareness through remarkable milestones, that with Hortus is truly a story to be shared.

Celebrating Art, Literature, and Community

The Hortus festival was a celebration of creativity, with the widest range of events and attractions that catered to art lovers, book enthusiasts, and literary connoisseurs. The high spots were the enthralling Book Fest, the interactive Manorama Pavilion, and the visually captivating Biennale Pavilion. Each pavilion drew in a huge crowd, reflecting the festival’s ability to unite diverse audiences under the umbrella of art and literature.

But beyond the events and exhibits, Hortus became a community hub, a place where stories were shared, friendships were forged, and memories were made. The festival truly lived up to its promise of celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of Kerala and beyond.

The Poetic Ads: The Force Behind the Digital Buzz

This was indeed both an honor and a challenge which we took in its entire essence. We wanted to accomplish several things for them:

To elevate the social media presence by engaging the audiences with the Hortus Instagram page being taken up to 10,000 followers.

Drive Registrations: Engage audiences in participation and strong attendance.

Digital Footprint: Make sure Hortus rang in the audiences even beyond the dates of the festival.

Mission Accomplished: Reaching New Heights
  1. Instagram Achievement: Social media is at the heart of current events, and Instagram was the battle ground. Using targeted campaigns, appealing content, and people-crafted storytelling, we went far beyond 10,000 followers, creating a dynamic online community eagerly excited for Hortus.
  2. Registration and Footfall Records: Our registration drives were overwhelming in response. The response to the registration was so huge that it filled the festival grounds with an infectious energy that is impossible to ignore. Families, students, and professionals made their way to Kozhikode to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event.
  3. Pavilion Powerhouses: The Book Fest attracted bibliophiles from far and wide, with stalls full of activity as visitors discovered new literary gems. The Manorama Pavilion became a centerpiece for interactions, showing the legacy and innovation of Malayala Manorama. Meanwhile, the Biennale Pavilion offered a visual feast, leaving attendees awe-inspired.
The Human Touch: Stories that Moved Us

Amidst the success metrics, it was the people who truly made Hortus special. From the little girl clutching her favorite new book to an elderly couple reminiscing about the good old days of reading, every visitor brought their own story to the festival. Social media became a canvas for these stories, as we captured candid moments, shared visitor testimonials, and celebrated the human essence of Hortus.

One of the most poignant moments came from a young artist, who spoke about how the festival brought back his passion for painting after a long time with no creativity. Another highlight included a group of students who mentioned that they got to know many authors whom they had never come across before because of this event.

Gratitude and Looking Ahead

Hortus 2024 – it was a team effort – the success of this project is a reason to thank Malayala Manorama for entrusting us, and thousands of attendees with whom the festival is unforgettable at The Poetic Ads. This power of stories is just the reason for which they say stories bring people closer together.

As we reflect on this incredible journey, we look forward to more opportunities to craft meaningful connections, amplify voices, and celebrate the beauty of art and literature. Hortus was not just a festival; it was a movement—one that we are proud to have been a part of.

Here’s to the magic of art, the power of literature, and the promise of many more milestones ahead. Until next time, Kozhikode, keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep inspiring.
